Eamon McErvale is a Senior Project Manager at PDS Group who has been driving our project with the Building Committee. He has worked on a wide range of projects including Melbourne CBD’s tallest tower, community projects and retail precincts.

We sat down with Eamon to get his thoughts on his experience on the project so far.

1) Can you share a memorable moment for you in the project so far?

Presenting the resolved design to the club’s committee last year prior to proceeding to tender. The passion for the project in the room was infectious – its was great to see the hard work of all the club members culminate in an amazing design.

2) What you think members will love about the new club house?

The multi-purpose room with the bar and deck. The design team and building committee spent many hours refining the area to deliver what will become a fantastic amenity for the club – I definitely intend to visit for a drink once it’s up and running!

3) Name one challenge, sharing with us how you worked with the Building Committee to overcome it.

The biggest challenge for the project was ensuring the club house served a number of different purposes – function centre, training venue, administration facility, storage and wash down area, etc. The design team with the assistance of the building committee (who were able to give a great insight into the club’s needs) collaborated regularly to provide a flexible building.
